Davy Jones’ Locker

If a ship sinks, sailors will say that the boat and its crew have gone to Davy Jones’ Locker. Although Davy Jones is referred to as an evil sea spirit who lurks at the bottom of the sea and takes the lives of ignorant sailors, it also means that if a sailor drowns at sea, he has gone to a place of safe-keeping, the locker of Davy Jones. But wether or not he’s evil, it’s best to avoid meeting Davy Jones altogether, and to make sure that your boat is waterproof.
